Across East and Southeast Asia, communities celebrate the arrival of spring by celebrating the beginning of the new year on the lunar calendar.

Join the Center for Asian and Pacific Studies and International Programs as they host their annual Lunar New Year Celebration at the Center for Language and Culture Learning.

This year’s program will feature faculty members exploring symbolic dishes, ancestral traditions, and celebratory practices that welcome prosperity and good fortune in the new year.

The celebration offers meaningful ways to experience cultural traditions observed around the world. This year’s in‑person gathering offers new opportunities to engage directly with faculty presenters and fellow attendees.
